2014 GN Projects for Asia Market: Mud Recycling System for HDD and Tunneling

GN also delivered 500gpm mud system for trenchless drilling project in Thailand; two set of mud recycling system to India for HDD drilling with Vermeer rigs. One is 500 gpm with shale shaker and desilter; one is 350gpm with shale shaker and desilter. GN could supplies various treating capacity mud recycling systems for HDD drilling.

 

More importantly, GN designed and manufactured a whole set of TBM mud system with dewatering unit for a Singapore customer. This project requires a large treating capacity, so the biggest decanter centrifuge with capacity of 80 cubic meter per hour is adopted. And the dewantering unit is needed to make small solids aggregated into large ones and then to be processed by the decanter. GN is an expert in solids control and mud system.

GN Mud System for HDD Rigs in Different Treating Capacity

Hebei GN Solids Control is an expert in solids control and mud recycling system. Beside design and manufacturing solids control system for oil and gas drilling with four stage treating equipment, GN solids control also designs, manufactures and supplies mud system for HDD drilling normally with two stage treating equipment:shale shaker and desander or desilter or mud cleaner. This year, GN made 2 sets of mud recycling system for Vermeer HDD rigs. One is 500gpm, the other is 350gpm.

 

The included equipment in the 500gpm mud system is listed as below:

One set of GNZS703E-DZ line motion shale shaker;GN shale shaker adopts stainless steel for the bottom deck. One set of GNZJ703E-8N desilter with 8 pieces of 4’’ cyclones and bottoe shale shaker. One set of 50hp centrifugal pump to feed the desilter. One set of 50hp mixing pump with Venturi Hopper mounted on the 40ft mud tank. And one set of 40ft container size mud tank. Firstly, the waste mud falls on the shale shaker, and then the liquids from the shale shaker will be pumped into the desilter for further process. Also, mixing device is installed to add additives on the clean mud.

Besides 350 gpm and 500 gpm mud system, GN has developed a complete line of mud system matched to different HDD drilling rigs and different drilling depth. GN 1000gpm Mud System for Geothermal Drilling in Turkey

As a specialist in solids control equipment and system, GN solids control is qualified to supply mud systems for various of drilling such as HDD drilling, tunneling, bore piling. This year, GN designed and manufactured two sets of mud systems for geothermal drilling. One is 500gpm to Kenya; the other is 1000 gpm to Turkey. While, GN could supply a various range of mud storage capacity mud system such as 200gpm, 500gpm, 800gpm, 1000gpm, 1500gpm and 2000gpm to meet different drilling depth. Geothermal is a cleaner and renewable energy source with board development prospects. Not only in Kenya and Turkey, it is becoming universal around the world and an increasing number of geothermal drilling wells are under construction.

 

In this 1000gpm mud system, the main configuration is listed as below.

1. Two sets of GN linear motion shale shaker GNZS594E-HB with 4 panels of screens which is equal to MI-Swaco Mongoose shale shaker; screens of the two shale shakers are interchangeable.

2. One set of mud cleanerGNZJ594E-2S12N, the combination of desander, desilter and the underflow shale shaker, which makes the mud cleaner occupy little space with small foot print but with higher performance. One the desnader andesilter cyclones are removed, it can used as a high G force shale shaker.

3. Three sets of mud tank with complete package of accessories, electrical control panels and cables.

The two shale shakers serve as the first stage equipment for treating the mud, and then the mud discharged from shale shaker will be pumped into the desander and desilter for further treatment. After that the mud will be stored for use.

 

This year, except both two sets of mud system for geothermal drilling, GN sold 4 sets solids control system for COSL and 4 sets to Russia; and also one set of 200gpm Solids control system to Mongolia.

GN Waste Management System for Shell & Baker Hughes

Regarding to the finished one in this month for Shell, it is designed to process 30 tons per hour with the below composition of equipment.

  1. GNCD930 Vertical Cutting Dryer: the second generation of GN vertical cutting dryer can handle both of WBM and OBM drilling cuttings with improved performance.
  2. GNLW363BG-VFD: highest standard with duplex stainless steel 2205 for conical and cylindrical section of bowl, and touch panel for PLC control.
  3. Feeding pump and tanks.  

The drilling cuttings will be transferred to the vertical cutting dryer by two screw conveyors. After processed by th vertical cutting dryer, the solids will be discharged from the bottom with a moisture content of 3%-5%; the liquids will be delivered to the decanter centrifuge screw pump for further process. Except the finished one, another four sets of drilling cutting managementsystem are under construction for Baker Hughes. Cooperation with well- known companies is exciting and encouraging. GN will stick to strive high quality and best service to win more big companies in this field.
