GN main product line of drilling waste
management includes high G shaker, vertical cutting dryer and decanter
centrifuge. GN high G
shaker can reach to max 8.0 G force because the screen bed is made of
stainless steel and the whole deck is heat treated. GN vertical cutting dryer
can reach to a 750 G force at a speed of 1200RPM so as to dry the oil based
drilling cutting with a oil content at around 5%. GN decanter
centrifuge is to treat the liquids discharge from high G shaker or the
vertical cutting dryer to make more clean fluids return back to active system. Beside

complete drilling waste management system with the combination of vertical

GN shale shaker is fixed with 2, 3 or 4

Good drill solids control is very important to a drilling capacity. Generally, there are three ways to control the drill solids: dilution, gravity setting and mechanical removal. While the essay will only focus on the last one mechanical removal with an introduction of GN solids control equipment. As its name tells us, mechanical removal means to separate solid with mechanical equipment. Because of various particle sizes, there will be various phases of equipment.  The equipment can be classified into two main groups. The one is sieving device, the other is centrifugal separation device. The sieving devise could separate particles with a size of 61 microns by a 250 mesh screen. The centrifugal separation device hydrocyclones could removal particles between 20 microns to 70 microns with different size cones. The centrifugal separation device decanter centrifuge is to remove the colloidal particles up to 5 microns.

Regarding to the mud recycling system for HDD drilling,
It generally includes 2 or 3 phase treating machines with mud mixing devices.
If it is with 2 phases, the first phase will be shale shaker to separate coarse
solids and then desander cones or desilter cones to separate fine solids. If
with 3 phases, the first phase will be shale shaker,
the second will be desander cones, the third will be desilter cones. Regarding
to the mud mixing device, it is mud mixing hopper with mud mixing pump. In GN,
the standard models are divided by the treating capacity from 200 gpm to
1000gpm, so we have 200GPM, 350GPM, 500GPM, and 1000GPM. Unit till now, over 20
