1.  Install a fused disconnect device having sufficient interrupting capacity to clear the maximum fault current capability of the power supply  Decanter Centrifuge.

2.  Remove the plug from hole at top of the electrical junction box, install appropriate feed-through into the hole, and attach rigid conduit. Pass three-phase cable through the conduit and into the shale shaker.

3.  Connect three-phase power leads to the terminals at the top of the starter block as shown in

THREE-WAY VALVE CONTROL ARM

For protection during shipment, the control arm is not connected to the valve. The control arm is

restrained by a tie wrap , which must be removed to permit connection to the

valve. Before operating the degasser, attach the control arm to the three-way valve as follows:

1.  Remove the 5/16-inch bolt and nut from the control clevis at the top of the valve.

2.  Remove and discard the plastic tie wrap retaining the valve control arm.

3.  Swing notched end of the control arm down into control clevis, and reinstall nut and bolt.

4.  Check for and remove any obstruction of valve’s atmospheric vent.

Low-speed desander desilter: it is also called “barite recovery” centrifuge. Its separating factor is 500~700. To low-density solids, its separating point is 6~10μm. To high-density solids, its separating point is 4~7μm. This kind of centrifuge can be used for recovering barite. Medium-speed Desander: its separating factor is 800 or so, solids of 5~7μm can be separated, so harmful solids can be separated from the mud, so that gravity and viscosity of the mud can be controlled. Most drill team will choose this kind of centrifuge at present. High-speed Desander: its separating factor is 1200~2100 or so, separating point is 2~5μm, it can remove harmful solids, control mud viscosity, it is usually connected with low speed centrifuge to make up a dual centrifuge system(See figure 3). In the system, low-speed centrifuge is installed at the first grade, barite separated from it is discharged into mud tank to be recovered, liquid is drained into a surge drum first, and then be sent by a pump to high-speed centrifuge; the solid separated from high-speed centrifuge will be discharged out of the tank and the liquid is back to recirculation system. “Dual Desander system” can remove harmful solids efficiently, at the same time, avoid wasting barite.
